Cappoquin House & Gardens

Cappoquin House & Gardens is an 18th century Georgian mansion built on the site of an old Fitzgerald castle in the centre of town. The house and gardens enjoy magnificent views over the River Blackwater. It was built as one of a series of castles which commanded the tidal waters of the river. Open April to July, Monday to Saturday, 9am to 1pm. Open all year for tours by appointment.
